It is our great pleasure to host the 35th Conference of the International Association for Scandinavian Studies (IASS) in Munich in summer 2025. The Institut für Nordische Philologie (LMU Munich) warmly invites you to join us at this conference.

The theme for the IASS 2025 is Peripeteias, catastrophies, happy endings: Turning points in Nordic literature and culture. The term peripeteia opens up a field of research that can be applied across genres and epochs, and which has implications for the way we see ourselves as scholars of literature.
